Attending Cardinal Health's Nourishing Connections breakout session at the American Society of Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition Conference (ASPEN) last week with dietitians Cynthia Reddick and Lina Breik was a breath of fresh air. Lina asked the audience of manufacturers, clinicians, and researchers "If you could innovate any part of the tube feeding world what would it be?"

This word cloud validated that the voice of Tubie families are getting louder and louder. It was amazing to hear all of the buzz around blenderized diets and products that make tube feeding at home and on-the-go easier.

Tube feeding at home is hard. Keep requesting the FreeArm and other needed products from your DME. Keep advocating for new and innovative products to be 100% covered by insurance. Your voice matters.  

And of course we loved it when Lina casually mentioned "a funky FreeArm!"

Check it out! Learn about sweet Freeman, the inspiration behind the FreeArm, all the ways to use the FreeArm as well as how to set it up!

Contact your supply company (DME) that sends your monthly tube feeding supplies to request a FreeArm Muscle and ask for it to be billed to your insurance.

Your DME will need to work with your physician, nurse practitioner, or dietitian to obtain a letter of medical necessity (LMN) showing why the FreeArm Muscle is medically necessary. Please let your DME know that we have a template on our website along with HCPCS and MSRP information.

The more requests and demand from patients and parents, the more DMES see the importance to start providing the FreeArm Muscle to ALL of their customers. Thanks for advocating!
