“Be a light! You can make a difference in this world no matter your circumstances.”

Tell us your story!

I was born with a rare syndrome called Goldenhar Syndrome. I was born with half a jaw, that has led me to need a feeding tube to fully sustain with eating by tube and mouth. I am a published author who loves to write and read books. I am also a public speaker and a blogger!

Where is your favorite place to use your FreeArm and why do you love it?

I love using my FreeArm in my room and my kitchen because it helps me be able to have more mobility & freedom, along with not tripping on my IV pole! LOL!

What would you like to say to other Tubie families or individuals?

Be a light! You can make a difference in this world no matter your circumstances.

How did you tube feed before the FreeArm?

I used an IV pole which was a lot less mobility and my parents would have to help me move it.

What advice do you have for a Newbie Tubie?

Make sure to use fabric feeding tube at bedtime/night time, so you don't have to change sheets in the middle of the night!! Also, be patient, it's all a process and even after twenty-one years, I'm still learning my feeding tube!!

What else would you like to share?

Breannamendoza.com is my website where I blog!! I will also have a book event June 25th! (So come see my page for that!!)
